JohnI agree that in times of high unemployment invnstieg in infrastructure is a wise investment.What we need to watch for is where/how the money gets spent (i.e. its not just photo ops in Conservative ridings) plus we need to ensure our public dollars get invested in moving our economy forward (e.g. innovative industry, green technology, renewable energy)We also need accountability (eg public website) so that we taxpayers can easily track , in a timely manner, where the money is going and how much is spent where so we can avoid G8 fiasco where millions of border infrastructure dollars were re allocated by politicians to their ridings for short term political motivesAlso we need the auditor general to report to the public whether or not parliament is in session (ie not wait until after elections)Mary Pynenburg
